It´s nothing much really happen this week....the weather has been so gloomy and rain from time to time. I´ve been home all the times, juz keep myself busy with the usual chores like laundry, ironing, cooking, cleaning windows, furnitures and vacuum...ah...I sound like a maid...but what to do! everybody is doing the same here....though they could afford to have maid they rather spend their money for other things....unlike in KL or Jakarta, almost everybody can afford to have maid or driver....b´coz the labour cost is cheaper there...
different country different lifestyle but I should be grateful that I stilll have a life....
Never use the cellphone while it is hooked to the mains!
I received this message from a friend via email and would like to bring your attention to make you aware of the danger potential of the commonly used cellular phone.
A couple of weeks ago, a person was recharging his cellphone at home.Just at that time a call came and he attended to that call with the instrument still connected to the mains.
After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cellphone unrestrained and the young man was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud. His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious, with weak heartbeats and burnt fingers. He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Cellphone is a very useful modern invention. However, we must not use he cellphone while it is hooked to the mains! This is my humble plea. Sincerely, Its authentic ......check the attachment ....
well...I guess it would be nice to share some experience travelling to the other part of the world by putting some pictures here...b´coz pictures will t ell thousand of words...On one hand, I´m not a good writer myself and on the other hand, I hardly could remember the names of the building or places...
So let me start with my recent trip to Prague/Czech Republic...I went there in May this year for my last birthday. Prague is such a beautiful country, many nice historical buildings with many hundred years of architecture. Prague´s history has echoed not only through the Czech lands but across Europe, but don´t ask me about the history, my memory is getting bad nowadays as the age is catching up...
that´s the Mala Strana Bridge Tower, the entrance of of Charles Bridge...it´s too close and you can´t see the towers on top. Strolling on Charles Bridge is everybody´s favourite Prague activity, so do I...By 9am it´s 500m-long fair-ground, with an army of tourists squeezing through a gauntlet of hawkers and buskers.
on the Charles Bridge, which was begun by Charles IV to replace an earlier bridge that had been washed away by floods. Behind me you´ll see the Mala Strana Bridge Tower...there are actually two bridge towers at the Mala Strana end. The lower one was originally part of the long-gone 12th-century Judith Bridge. The taller tower was built in the mid-15th century in imitation of the one at the Stare Mestro end...the Stare Mestro Bridge Tower is on the other end of the Charles Bridge...not shown.
standing along Vltava River and enjoying the boats cruise up and down the river...the most expensive boat trip is with Prague Venice (270Kc per person including drink).
that´s the shopping centre with designer outlets, smart cafes and big Western names springing up all over the place...shopping was far more attractive there but it´s more pricey I must say...
that´s all for now I could share, the rest of it you should see yourself...
perhaps, I could put up some pictures from my previous trips like in Athens, Istanbul, France and etc. throughout the years and upload here from time to time....but I need to dig out from my albums back in KL first...let´s see!
Last Saturday I went to the cinema (Cinestar) nearby my place, unfortunately they only showed movies in German version for this whole week...I was a little bit pissed off!!....the last movies I saw was "Spiderman 2" which was a month ago...I was expecting a lazy weekend with some good movies.
So yesterday (Sunday) I drove to the other city Nuremberg to check at the other big cinema called Cinecitta, if I have luck!...usually they´ll have more choices and I thought they might have some movies in Original Version (English)...but again there´s nothing for me there! I was dying to see "Catwoman" actually....
I was told by the guy at the counter there that there´s another cinema (Roxy) which shows movies in Original Version so I went to the info counter to get a free map but still I couln´t find the location of that cinema....so finally I decided to make a stroll around in Nuremberg city, had some Spanish foods and ice-cream and called the day off...
afterwards I went home and watch the Olympic games...that´s the only programme that I don´t need to bother about language...
:)hmm.....this is the problem when sometimes you think you have so many things to share but you juz dunno how and where to start it...
first of all....let me start talking about foods, this is something actually you need it everyday or whenever you feel like having foods.....juz like anybody else I usually have proper meals two times a day, that´s not including breakfast or tea/coffee or whatever...or if I´m too busy outside I may have one meal a day at least....some people tend to eat more whenever they get frustrated, depressed or something....that´s normal I believe so...
so back to my story of foods...I´m so used eating Malaysian foods for my whole life b´coz Malaysian foods are delicious, of course....or at least I think so! Sometimes I get homesick because of that....I´m sure a lot of people will have the same problem too....coz I know I´m not alone here, right? Anyway, leaving abroad make me become so good working in the kitchen, I can say that I cook almost everyday.....while back in KL I never cook...I juz step out from the house and I can find foods at every corner, that´s so easy and it´s cheap...that´s why! Here, you won´t find foods like home, really, and it´s not so many....it´s either tasteless or too expensive if you wanna have good foods...unless you go for western or local foods...
ok besides Malaysian foods, I like to cook Thai food for instance my favourite Tom Yam Soup and chicken cashewnut...and I can also cook some Italian foods, Western foods but once in a while I like to change my menu as well, as I said before I´m not a good cook but I like to make an experiment.....so yesterday I tried this Turkish foods called Gyros...I dunno the other part of the world would call it but at least here I know it as Gyros where you eat it with bread or they call it here Pita....
so what you see above are the beef & paprika, fried onion, salad, cucumber in yogurt sauce and the Pita bread...sorry if I make somebody get tempted here, but juz wanna share my new menu list....hmmm...looks good or not? For me I don´t mind having a simple look but it must taste good! It might goes the same with the people too...heee...
this is what it looks like...(it won´t seem new for Turkish or European people)
so that´s all for now...next time around I must try to add some German foods in my menu list! Let´s wait and see....
Nancy had just come out of a shop when the blast of a car horn scared her. When she turned to yell at the rude driver, she found a large white poodle sitting in the driver´s seat of a parked car. When the impatient dog honked again, a man came scurrying out of a shop, shouting, "I´ll be there in a minute!"
"Did you teach your dog to do that?" Nancy asked the man.
"Yes," he answered in exasperation, "and now he won´t let me go anywhere!"
:D My friend from KL arrived to my place last Friday night, our first plan was to drive to Dresden the next morning but unfortunately she´s so exhausted and decided to stay the whole weekend with me. I understand when you travel to another country with 6 hours time different you´ll have problem with your sleeping hour and at least after 2-3 days then you´ll get used to the local time.
The weather wasn´t so nice here on Saturday....the temperature was juz below 17°C and followed by the rain....I was juz joking with her that she should bring some nice weather in her luggage from KL.....so after late breakfast or brunch, I managed to take her around in Erlangen city and then we decided to go home again....and as I said earlier when girls get together there´s a lot of things to catch up....and we had fun! I hope she enjoyed my cookings.....I´m not a good cook but I love to prepare foods and love to see people enjoying my foods....
that´s my friend, Fiza (in blue top) and me (in pink), heee...I look fat there, I used to be so thin and underweight.....we were colleagues in Siemens KL before, and we are still in contact of course....who will forget me? hehehe....the "unforgettable girl"... ....the picture´s taken on my balcony and behind us is Siemens Erlangen/Germany (low rise building)....
hmmm....juz like in Siemens advertisement.... "wherever you are in the world, you are never far away from Siemens products"...that´s true!
A chemist walks into his shop to find a customer leaning heavily against the wall.
"What´s wrong with that man?" he asks his assistant.
"Well," the assistant replies. "He came in this morning to get something for his cough. I couln´t find the cough syrup, so I gave him an entire bottle of laxative."
"You can´t treat a cough with laxatives!" splutters the chemist.
:D hi guys! What are you all planning to do today? Me here, after I finished my laundry I´ll go for shoppíng to replenish my fridge again...that´s my normal weekly routine...anyway today seems to me the last day of sunny day since 2 weeks and then tomorrow the temperature will go down again...I have to enjoy the sun today otherwise I dunno when I could see the sun again...perhaps after one or two weeks...it´s so unpredictable....
By the way, another nice thing to share is that one of my girlfriends from KL will come and visit me tomorrow and will stay over the whole weekend before she goes off to Berlin.....we plan to make a short tour to the Old Town of Nürnberg and Erlangen and the rest I will keep you all posted later b´coz I´m not sure whether she´s fit to run around in the city or not...perhaps she would have some kind of jet lag.....but one thing for sure we´re gonna have fun! You know when girls get together, there´s a lot of thing to catch up....
:D...today I have nothing much to share here, but I feel quite happy coz I received a couple of emails from friends in Kuala Lumpur (KL) and a reply email from Birgit.....they made my day! It´s always nice to hear news from home...and I´m glad that they managed to find time to write...
It´s sad sometimes when you sent out emails to your pals around the world and they never come back to you...when the nex time you meet them up they´ll say "I´m so sorry I´ve been so busy and bla, bla, bla..." Busy has always been an excuse for not making their time...but from my observation the busy people will always make things happened!! and only those who are doing nothing and take things easy will not make their time...
but when you´re not writing to them they´ll claim that we´ve forgotten them...this and that....
ah..ya...life is like that...everybody seems to be busy with their own things nowadays, and only get in touch when they are in need for something...
:P right after lunch I went out with my girlfriend for bowling...it was juz a spontaneous plan after she called me while I was having my lunch.....she´s Indonesian and she´s actually a wife of my ex-boss......we played juz for an hour or so...managed to complete three games...hmm...you know what? It was my first game after 2 years, and I won one game out of three frames.....my best score for today was 141...not so bad hah.....after 2 years?.... :D
...then after the game we splited up, she had to go for shopping and I decided to run around in the city by myself...went to the city hall to check some brochures about the German course for the next intake, but hasn´t there yet...
and now here I am, online!!!...I´m connected to the world again......
so the small BBQ gathering went well last Sat....we had fun but unfortunately none of us remember to take pic at the grill.....the camera was somewhere and I was so busy preparing things and catching up with them...
...but we managed to take some pictures while eating...
...that´s my friend Birgit and her daughter Fiona and her son Philip...we live in the same city but hardly could get together....in Germany if you´d like to meet up someone, you have to make an appointment at least 2 weeks or one month beforehand...sometimes I get bored waiting too long...and by the time I suppose to see them I have no mood anymore....unlike them, we Asian are more spontaneous....
...and that´s Marcus, Birgit´s husband...playing with the kids after the foods....they really enjoyed themselves!!!
So we juz stay lazy the whole evening talking, playing games, get more drinks and munching...and they left around 11pm...it was so nice...
 The time run so fast and it´s Friday again...today I juz need to vacuum, rearrange the table and chairs at the balcony, tidy up the kitchen a little bit....at least to look a little bit more organize for tomorrow - our BBQ´s day....
...then later in the afternoon I could go for shopping to replenish my fridge, the BBQ must have lamb fillet.... that´s my favourite! chicken and beef and salad and and....haiyoo ... :?: still many things to buy then!! So I´m already done for the day......
opps!! to marinate...errr...I´ll marinate them tomorrow morning...hopefully it´s ok...
:P hmm...there´s another nice day 2day, what a luck! Unlike last year, the summer season in Germany is very hard to predict nowadays....sometimes 1-2 days warm and then 4-5days cold and followed by rain...3days warm and one week cold...but this week seems to me the weather is really nice...feeling almost like home.....I could see the sun shining till night...so I don´t need to wrap myself around with thick clothes anymore...
...and at the same time the summer sales has started since last week...wow!!! up to 70% disc...I can´t help it ! I love clothes and shoes... 8) and managed to buy some jeans, tops and shoes with good discount...I´m happy....it´s worth it! Pfewww......I´m tired walking now and need to slow down a bit....
aha...this Saturday afternoon I have some guests coming to my home and we plan to make BBQ at the balcony...hopefully the weather is still ok...opps!! I need to clean up the mess now and do some ironing too... catch up with you guys soon okey....
:P Hi everyone out there! I´m juz a new user of this tBlog...so I´m still learning, try and error is the best thing to do right now...so hope I could get used to it soon...
